SILVER BELL AWARD

To celebrate and recognize individuals or organizations who provide outstanding community service, leadership, vision and values that elevate the conversation about mental health, Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri created the Silver Bell Award.

This award represents the Mental Health Bell, a historic symbol of hope for Mental Health America and its affiliates nationwide. Created in the 1950s, the Bell is inscribed with this inspiring message: "Cast from shackles which bound them, this bell shall ring out hope for the mentally ill and victory over mental illness."

Criteria for Nominations

• No self-nominations
• Nominee must be located or live in the Eastern Region of Missouri.
• Minimum of five (5) years of proven leadership and community service with focus on mental health advocacy and awareness

The recipient of the Silver Bell Award will be honored at the Snow Ball Gala, set for Friday, December 3, 2021, at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis.
