Area Agency on Aging

Area Agency on Aging provides a variety of direct services for seniors, support services for caregivers and information about community resources.  St. Louis Area Agency on Aging serves residents of the City of St. Louis  314-612-5918;  Aging Ahead (formerly Mid-East Area Agency on Aging) serves residents in St. Louis, St. Charles, Jefferson and Franklin Counties  636-207-0847  was created to offer a nationwide resource of assisted living information. One of the features at the site is a directory that lists each state's licensed assisted living residences. The states may have different terms for assisted living, such as residential care, as well as different license requirements.
