Arch Clinical Trials is currently recruiting subjects aged 55 to 90 who may be experiencing agitation in conjunction with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Agitation symptoms include the following: restlessness, aggression (physical and verbal), and irritability. Washington University is conducting research to learn about brain function throughout normal aging and in various stags of Alzheimer's disease. Criteria includes:
- 35 to 80 years of age
- Participants must not have a neurological or mental health illness that requires treatment
- Must be able to undergo PET and MRI scans
There will be 1 baseline visit (approximately 7 hours) and 1 optional follow-up visit (2-1/2 to 3 years later). Study procedures include PET and MRI scans and cognitive testing. Compensation is provided for time and effort.
