Join us on Friday, December 2nd for MHA-EM's signature fundraising event!

MHA-EM is excited to introduce our newly imagined signature fundraising event, Ring Out Hope! Formally known as Snow Ball, this newly designed event was created to provide guests with a deeper understanding of where we are headed to end the stigma surrounding mental health conditions while enjoying an evening of dancing to The Fabulous Motown Revue, drinks, dinner, and more!

Why Ring Out Hope?  In the early days, it was common practice to restrain individuals with mental health conditions using iron chains and shackles; however, through education and advocacy, this inhumane treatment ceased. In 1953, a call to action by Mental Health of America resulted in melting these bindings and recasting them into a sign of hope, known as the Mental Health Bell. MHA-EM has reimagined the legendary Snow Ball Gala to reflect our commitment to breaking the invisible chains of misunderstanding and discrimination that oppresses those with mental illness.

With sincere admiration, Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri invites you to be the first to experience our reimagined signature event, Ring Out Hope! Your participation and support of this event is a direct way to help end the pervasive stigma surrounding mental health in our community. In partnership, we can help provide a unified voice for all to prioritize their mental health.

As a sponsor, you will gain unique market exposure to our renowned guest list of 450 people, comprised of community stakeholders, local business owners, corporate and industry leaders. The 2022 Ring Out Hope event will remain a fun-filled evening that includes dancing the night away with our friends The Fabulous Motown Revue, a live auction, and a celebration of community champions. You will also leave with a deeper understanding of our programs, how we serve the community, and how partners like you can stay engaged in our mission year-round.

Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri is pleased to present a member of our community with the Bell of Hope Award to commemorate their commitment to mental health. The bell is a symbolic piece of hope within MHA history that is inscribed with this inspiring message: “Cast from shackles which bound them, this bell shall ring out hope for the mentally ill and victory over mental illness.”

The Bell of Hope awardee should embody our shared philosophy of B4Stage4, ensuring that mental health is supported before it reaches crisis; whether they have dedicated their time and energy to prevention, research, or advocacy, their fierce passion to serve those facing mental health challenges is moving mountains to end the stigma! Their efforts around mental health have continued the conversation in the community which is key to lasting change. We look to you to identify an individual or organization that has exemplified this.
