In these extraordinary times, we counted on our friends and supporters to help us continue the critical work of eliminating the shame and stigma that often serves as a barrier to treatment and recovery for those who need it most.

This year, Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri (MHA-EM) replaced our traditional Snow Ball Gala with a very special, unique event that made it easier for everyone to stay safe while helping us recognize an important milestone: our 75th Anniversary Celebration. With help from our generous sponsors and friends who agreed to serve as event hosts to smaller, safer gatherings, we celebrated throughout the day and across the region on Saturday, October 3 with coffees, brunches, lunches, Zoom events, cocktail parties, dinners, and even an outdoor concert!

The theme for our celebration was "Who is your why?," a question we posed to help everyone in the community think about mental health in a personal way. By recognizing the personal connection we have to mental health, we can break the cycle of shame often associated with mental illness and elevate the conversation!
